  • Property information: service address, mailing address, home size, number of stories, roofline details, landscaping features
  • Service preferences: desired lighting package, color preferences, installation timing, budget range

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website or interact with our ads, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

  • Pages viewed, links clicked, and time spent on our site
  • Referring website or advertisement
  • Cookie identifiers and similar tracking technologies

2.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from:

  • Meta Platforms, Inc. — when you submit a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, Meta transmits the information you entered to us
  • Google — including Google Business Profile inquiries and review submissions
  • Referral partners and existing customers who provide your contact information with your permission
  • Publicly available sources, such as property records used to prepare accurate estimates

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Prepare and deliver quotes and estimates
  • Schedule, perform, maintain, and remove your lighting installation
  • Communicate with you about your project, including confirmations and service updates
  • Process payments and maintain billing records
  • Respond to questions, requests, and service issues

4. Text Message and Phone Communications

Please read this section carefully.

By providing your telephone number to Dreamland Christmas Light Installation — including through a Facebook or Instagram lead form, our website, or verbally to a member of our team — you consent to receive telephone calls and SMS/MMS text messages from us at that number, including messages sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or prerecorded voice.

These communications may include:

  • Responses to your quote request
  • Appointment scheduling and confirmations
  • Installation and service crew arrival notifications
  • Billing and payment reminders
  • Seasonal promotions, early booking offers, and rebooking reminders

Your consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from us. You may request a quote or purchase services without agreeing to receive marketing messages.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

To opt out of text messages, reply STOP to any message you receive from us. You will receive a single confirmation message and no further texts, except that we may still contact you regarding an active, scheduled service. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us using the details in Section 14.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors or service providers who support the delivery of our messaging is permitted; all other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent, and this information will not be shared with any third parties.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only in the following circumstances:

5.1 Service Providers

We share information with third parties who perform services on our behalf, including:

  • Payment processors for handling transactions
  • Customer relationship management (CRM) and scheduling software used to manage jobs
  • Email and text messaging platforms used to communicate with you
  • Website hosting and analytics providers
  • Advertising platforms, as described in Section 6
  • Insurance carriers and legal or accounting advisors, as needed

These providers are permitted to use your information only to perform services for us.

5.2 Subcontractors and Installation Crews

We may share your name, address, phone number, and project details with subcontractors or crew members assigned to perform work at your property.

5.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with a law, regulation, subpoena, or court order; to enforce our Terms and Conditions; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Dreamland, our customers, or others; or to investigate fraud or suspected illegal activity.

5.4 Business Transfers

If Dreamland is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or similar transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.

6. Advertising, Cookies, and Tracking Technologies

6.1 Meta (Facebook and Instagram)

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. In connection with that advertising:

  • Lead Forms. When you submit a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, Meta collects the information you provide and transmits it to us. Meta's own handling of that information is governed by the Meta Privacy Policy, not this Policy.
  • Meta Pixel and Conversions API. We use the Meta Pixel on our website and may transmit conversion data to Meta through the Conversions API. These tools tell us which advertisements led to quote requests and help Meta deliver our ads more effectively. Data transmitted may include your IP address, browser information, pages visited, and hashed identifiers such as an encrypted version of your email address or phone number.
  • Custom and Lookalike Audiences. We may upload contact information — such as email addresses and phone numbers — to Meta in a hashed (encrypted) format. Meta uses this to help us reach similar prospective customers, or to prevent our ads from being shown to people who are already our customers. We do not receive individual identifying information back from Meta through this process.

You can manage how Meta uses your data for advertising through your Facebook Ad Preferences settings.

6.2 Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, understand how our site is used, and measure advertising performance. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain features of our website.

6.3 Other Analytics and Advertising Partners

We may use Google Analytics, Google Ads, and similar services. These providers may use cookies to collect information about your online activity across websites over time.

6.4 Do Not Track

Our website does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.

7. Photographs and Marketing Use of Installations

We routinely photograph and record video of completed installations for marketing purposes, including social media, our website, and paid advertising.

Unless you tell us otherwise in writing before or during your installation, you agree that we may photograph the exterior of your property and use those images in our marketing materials. We will not publish your name, street address, or any other personally identifying information alongside such images without your separate written permission.

To opt out of having your property photographed or used in marketing, contact us at any time using the details in Section 14. We will honor your request going forward and will make reasonable efforts to remove existing images from materials we control. We cannot guarantee removal of images already distributed, shared, or republished by third parties.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as we determine necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements.

Retention periods vary by the type of information and the purpose for which it was collected. We do not commit to any specific retention period except where required by law.

You may request deletion of your information at any time as described in Section 10, and we will honor that request subject to our legal and business retention obligations.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include restricted access to customer records, use of reputable third-party software providers, and secure payment processing.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you provide information to us at your own risk.

10. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

10.1 All Users

Regardless of where you live, you may:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information, subject to our legal and business retention obligations
  • Opt out of marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email
  • Opt out of text messages by replying STOP
  • Opt out of marketing photography as described in Section 7

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 14. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

10.2 Residents of States with Comprehensive Privacy Laws

If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, or another state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law, you may have additional rights, including the right to:

  • Know what categories of personal information we collect, use, and disclose
  • Request a portable copy of your personal information
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights
  • Appeal a denial of a privacy request

Regarding "sale" and "sharing": We do not sell personal information for money. However, our use of advertising technologies such as the Meta Pixel and Custom Audiences may be considered "sharing" personal information for targeted advertising under some state laws. To opt out of this, contact us using the details in Section 14 with the subject line "Opt Out of Targeted Advertising," or adjust your ad settings directly with Meta and Google.

You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may require verification of your identity before fulfilling a request.

11. Children's Privacy

Our services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 16, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details in Section 14.

12. Third-Party Websites

Our website and advertisements may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through a notice on our website or by direct communication where required by law. Your continued use of our website or services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
